Carole Scroggins, 72, of Tower Hill, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Heritage Health—Pana. She was born May 19, 1942 in Effingham, the daughter of Martin & Lula Mae Logan Senior.
Carole was raised in Mason, IL, and then lived in Effingham, where she graduated from Effingham High School in 1960. She had come to Tower Hill in 1987. Carole had worked for Dr. Robert Wooley for 27 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and dancing. She loved her grandchildren, her family, and her friends. She also attended the Free Methodist Church, Tower Hill
Carole married Bob Scroggins on October 10, 1987 at New Hope Baptist Church, Tower Hill.
He survives in Tower Hill, along with her sons: David Eskew & wife Peg, Montrose, IL; Michael Eskew & wife Connie, Effingham, IL; Christopher Eskew & wife Phyllis, Effingham, IL; Stephen Eskew & special friend Kelly Kreke, Altamont, IL; step son, Brad Scroggins [35871:L] & wife Teresa [35872:L], Raleigh, NC; grandchildren: Samantha Eskew, Stacey Eskew, Haley Gates & husband Zac, Travis Eskew, Hunter Eskew, Cheyenne Eskew, Anthony Eskew, Rachel Scroggins [35874:L], Brent Scroggins [35873:L]; sisters:Jeanne Garrod & husband John, Ocala, FL; Kathleen Albert & husband Fred, Effingham, IL; Patricia Prather & husband Lee, Effingham, IL; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded by her parents and brother, Keith Senior.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Newman officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
