Michael Anthony Kuzmicz Sept. 6, 1946 - Sept. 21, 2015 OCEANSIDE, CA - Michael Anthony Kuzmicz "KUZ," 69, of Oceanside, CA, was called home after a long health battle on September 21, 2015, with family by his side. He was born in South Bend, IN, to Edwin (Duke) & Irene Kuzmicz, who he preceded in death. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Donna Jean (Scroggins) Kuzmicz; daughters, Michelle (Jim) Ashton & Amanda (Steve) Hogle; brother, Ken (Jeanne) Kuzmicz; grandsons, Caleb, Jacob, Noah, Dylan & Evan; nephews, Ryan (Sarah) Kuzmicz, Matt (Amanda) Kuzmicz; niece, Megan (Adam) Jasin; great-nephews and nieces, Nolan, Haley, Bailey, Parker & Gavin. Mike attended South Bend Central High School, where he received a scholarship to Notre Dame University. While at Notre Dame he was part of the 1966 National Championship football team, and graduated with a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. Furthering his education at Loyola he received a master's in Business. Mike moved to California in 2002 where he loved driving by "The Lake" daily, after living in the Chicago suburbs since the 70s. Mike loved spending time with his family, and being a grandpa and uncle. He loved sports, music, comic books & reading the funnies. Mike had a very unique sense of humor that everyone adored. We will miss you deeply JAJA, may you forever rest in peace. A memorial service will be held in February 2016 in California. *GO IRISH*
