Michael Conard Scroggins passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at the Joni Fair Hospice House.

He was 73 years of age, and was surrounded by his loving wife, Sandra Scroggins (Spencer), and his entire family. Michael was a very passionate man who had the ability to fill an entire room with his sense of humor and his infectious laugh. He cared deeply for his family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Broncos, the Rockies, and he liked to play golf. He served three years in the United States Army as a corpsman and dental assistant, from 1960-1963. He was a dental lab technician for over 50 years. He owned his own dental lab, Corona Prosthetics Dental Lab, Inc. from 1986 to 2009, and sold it to his son upon retirement. Michael was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Feb. 16, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys “Susan” Cupid (DeGregory) and (Philip DeGregory) and Wilbur Conard “Connie” Scroggins; along with his in-laws, Harold Spencer and Helen Spencer (Jenkins). Michael was married to the love of his life, Sandra Yvonne Scroggins (Spencer), on June 18, 1964; they just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. He was extremely proud of his three children, Wade Scroggins (Joyce), Dina Benton and Lesley Armstrong. He also had one brother, James Patrick Scroggins. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jack Piatt (Chris Beshirs), Jenalee Armstrong, Candice Armstrong, Alivia Arm-strong, Cassie Meyers (Jeremy), Crystal Hall (Josh) and Amanda Hall (Taylor); 16 great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and a long line of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 7, 2016, for a memorial service at American Legion Post 203, 2420 Santa Fe Ave., Pueblo, CO 81006. He will be cremated at the Roselawn Cemetery and Funeral Home at 1706 Roselawn Road, Pueblo, CO 81006.
